Product Description
Definition:
BBTRZ cable, referred to as MI cable, is used in Switzerland and gradually entered the Chinese market since the 1960s. Due to the use of inorganic materials in its production, it has better fire resistance. It is commonly referred to as magnesium oxide cable or fire-resistant cable in China. Currently, it can be divided into rigid and flexible types based on structural characteristics. It is corrosion-resistant, energy-saving, environmentally friendly, rodent and ant-proof, has good waterproof performance, and strong overload capacity.
BBTRZ cable has a wide range of installation applications and can be laid in important places such as tunnels, cable trenches, trays, ducts, shafts, high-rise buildings, rail transit, shopping malls, exhibition halls, garages, entertainment venues, and data centers.
Product features and competitive advantages:
1. Fire resistance characteristics:
① Under a flame of 950°C, it can maintain power for 180 minutes without breakdown (C)
② Under a flame of 650°C, it can withstand 15 minutes of water spray after 15 minutes without breakdown (W)
③ Under a flame of 950°C, it can withstand 15 minutes of impact vibration without breakdown (Z)
2. No intermediate joints:
Mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables can be custom-made according to user requirements, eliminating the need for intermediate joints, reducing joint costs, and improving cable stability.
3. Voltage level:
The voltage level of mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables can reach 0.6/1kV, while ordinary BTT cables have a maximum of 750V.
4. Rodent and ant-proof:
Mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables can be continuously produced without joints, providing rodent and ant-proof performance.
5. Flexibility:
Mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables use stranded conductors, and the sheath is made of non-metallic materials, making the cable more flexible and lightweight.
6. Easy installation:
The combination of mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables with traditional cable production technology makes installation and laying more convenient, avoiding the terminal connection issues often encountered with mineral insulated cables (BTTZ).
7. Low line loss, high current-carrying capacity:
For cables of the same cross-section, mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables can transmit higher current than other types of cables, capable of withstanding considerable overload. If the rated current is the same, the line loss is lower than that of other cables.
8. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly:
The working temperature of the core of mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables is lower than that of other types of cables, resulting in low line loss during operation, reducing energy waste. The materials of the cables are inorganic, meeting environmental protection requirements.
9. Explosion-proof performance:
The highly compacted insulating materials in the cable and the absence of intermediate joints can prevent steam, gas, and flames from entering the electrical equipment connected to the cable, making it suitable for explosive hazardous areas and various explosion-proof devices and equipment.
10. Radiation-proof, high safety:
The inorganic materials used in mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables are radiation-resistant, ensuring the cable has stability, long life, and durability.
11. Super flame retardancy:
Mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables have super flame retardancy. The main difference in the structural design of general flame-retardant cables is the use of inorganic metal hydrates such as aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide instead of traditional polypropylene ropes or glass fibers. The metal hydrates convert into metal oxides and water under flame, which not only lowers the temperature of the burning cable but also encapsulates the residual materials outside the insulating core, preventing them from participating in thermal oxidation reactions. Therefore, even if the capacity of such cables exceeds 28L/m during installation, they will extinguish instantly (the carbonization standard is reduced from 2.5m to below 1.0m).
12. Wide coverage:
The length of mineral insulated flexible fire-resistant cables can be customized according to user needs, delivered as a whole without joints, and can almost cover the demand for various specifications of power cables and control cables.
